About Nigeria Media Monitor

After months of publishing the Nigeria MediaAI Insight Newsletter, we have decided to incorporate it into a broader weekly publication focused on Nigeria’s media sector.

The new publication, Nigeria Media Monitor, will cover all aspects of the media industry by tracking developments, explaining trends, and documenting the Nigerian media ecosystem and beyond.

Its sections will include news, events, analysis, research, innovation, special reports, interviews, insights, history, opportunities, and other information that journalists, media professionals, scholars, students, and other stakeholders will find valuable.

MediaAI Insight will continue to be a special section to keep journalists in the country up-to-date on developments they should pay attention to.

With the media landscape constantly evolving, our goal is to provide a dedicated platform that highlights important issues in the industry and helps stakeholders stay abreast of developments, emerging trends, and perspectives that should guide them.

Just as the media reports and monitors developments in other sectors, we believe the media in Nigeria and other climes should also be adequately reported on and held accountable to perform its duties in line with constitutional provisions, the law, and professional ethics.

Beyond curating content already published on other platforms, we will provide exclusive, well-researched reports, as well as insights, intelligence, and resources for our readers.

We acknowledge the commendable efforts of past media-focused publications, particularly Media Review published by Diamond Publications under the leadership of Lanre Idowu, as well as the media and marketing communications sections of various newspapers and broadcast stations.

This first edition is a sample of what readers should expect, and we are confident the publication will continue to improve in the weeks ahead.

We look forward to the support of media organisations, companies, institutions, individuals, and other stakeholders in ensuring the success of this publication.

Your feedback will also be invaluable in achieving our collective goal of making the media sector better than it currently is.
