Award-winning journalist, Juliana Francis has announced the release of her new book shedding light on child trafficking, particularly into sex slavery.
Titled “We Are Priceless,” the book aims to combat various crimes against children including sex slavery, trafficking, child labor, and abuse.
According to a press statement by the Chairman of the Book Launch Committee, Abiodun Bello, the book is an inspiring story of five brave children who escaped sex slavery after being deceived by those they trusted.
“It serves as a stark reminder of how vulnerable children continue to be sacrificed on the altar of unbridled wealth accumulation via the selfish quest of adults who should protect them,” Bello stated.
The Author explained that combating human trafficking involves educating and empowering the youth to stand against it. She views the book as a campaign tool to raise awareness about human trafficking and calls on Nigerians to unite against this menace.
The official launch of “We Are Priceless” is scheduled for August 31, 2023, at 11 a.m., at POWA Hall in Oduduwa, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos. The event anticipates the presence of prominent figures from diverse sectors.
