SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT CREATOR
Job Description
1. Writing, reviewing, editing, and updating digital content for social media platforms, marketing materials, and similar platforms.
2. Conducting research to learn more about current trends, developments, and perceptions about the subject matter, and then contextualizing your findings.
3. Design posters and artwork for our Social Media Platforms.
4. Brainstorm design ideas for all digital materials.
5. Use social media to engage, respond to questions or comments, and promote the brand’s initiatives.
6. Collaborating with the digital head and senior management to establish campaign objectives, complete tasks, and identify and solve problems.
7. Monitoring social media and website metrics.
8. Suggesting new ways to increase the brand’s digital footprint and to reach new audiences.
9. Monitor competitor activity and what can be done to get ahead of the competition.
10. Engage with other brand’s content (brands that share in our activism) by commenting on their posts.
11. Research on the current social media trends and find ways that we can capitalize on them.
Requirements
• Experience creating strong, engaging content.
• A rich portfolio of brands that have been managed.
• An understanding of SEO best practices.
• Demonstrated excellence in copywriting.
• Excellent research, organizational, and time management skills.
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• The capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to work efficiently without compromising quality.
FINANCE WRITER
Duties
• Write stories on money and all other aspects of economics affecting black women
• Create educative and insightful content on Black women and money.
• Participate in creating content through videos and in any other way that supports Feminstyle Africa’s Vision.
Requirements
Candidates from financial background or experience in financial content writing – articles, blogs, and from financial news candidates/financial writing companies.
Extensive knowledge of English grammar with a familiarity with a standard style guide
Keeping watch on various financial trends and especially those affecting women in Africa.
Proven expertise on how to capture complex financial information and translate it for consumption by a congressional audience
Ability to work independently and within a team
Meeting deadlines is a very important part of the job
TRAVEL WRITER
Duties
Create content about Africa, fun places to visit, a little history, and travel hacks
Tell stories about women travellers, travelling as a black woman
Participate in creating content through videos and in any other way that supports Feminstyle Africa’s Vision.
Requirements
Extensive knowledge of English grammar with a familiarity with a standard style guide
Must remember the impression of the place be able to translate into words
Ability to work independently and within a team
Meeting deadlines is a very important part of the job
The article should be written in a simple fun language which can be understood by everybody
HEALTH WRITER
Duties
Write stories on Women’s health
Create timely content that is in tune with the health awareness calendar.
Participate in creating content through videos and in any other way that supports Feminstyle Africa’s Vision.
Requirements
Extensive knowledge of English grammar with a familiarity with a standard style guide
Ability to communicate scientific or medical information in a clear and concise manner
Knowledge and enthusiasm for Women’s health
Ability to interpret and present clinical data and other complex information
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required; emphasis in health/science-related field preferred.
Ability to work independently and within a team

BEAUTY AND FASHION WRITER
Duties
Write about black women’s fashion and beauty
Research about the latest trends and create fun and interesting storylines on the fashion and beauty trends
Suggest new fashion and beauty products ideas in the Articles
Build relationships with designers and industry professionals
Requirements
Extensive knowledge of English grammar with a familiarity with a standard style guide
Keep abreast of the latest fashion and beauty trends
Ability to work independently and within a team
