Omipidan

The Assistant Editor, Politics of Sun Newspapers, Ismail Omipidan has been appointed as the new Chief Press Secretary of Osun State governor, Mr.  Adeboyega Oyetola.

Omipidan takes over from Mr. Adeniyi Adesina, who resigned to return to The Nation Newspaper as Editor of the Daily Paper.

Adesina was Deputy Editor (News) when he was earlier appointed as the spokesman to Oyetola.

A statement on Wednesday by the Secretary to the State Government, Prince Wole Oyebamiji, said the appointment took effect from Monday, August 5.

Omipidan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication from the University of Maiduguri, Borno State, and a Master’s degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy from the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna.

 

He had worked with The Comet, Weekly Trust, The Week Magazine, The Guardian, The Spectator, and The Punch.
