Training and pitching opportunities are available for journalists on migration and Mining sector reporting in two top media training organisations in the country.

The Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism (WSCIJ) has invited Nigerian professional investigative reporters (full-time or freelance) from the print, online and broadcast specialists to apply for a two-day masterclass on migration reporting, while Premium Times Centre for Investigative Journalism (PTCIJ) is requesting for pitches of stories worth investigating from media professionals and researchers in the Nigeria Mining Sector

The WSCIJ call is in line with the organisation’s Media Engagement on Migration Reporting programme supported by The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO).

Stories on the mining sector are part of the Natural Resource Programme aim to strengthen the capacity of media and civil society to demand transparency and accountability in the extractive sector by enhancing media and civil society collaboration in the reporting of activities in the industry.
