VACANCIES IN LEADERSHIP NEWSPAPER
Leadership Group Limited is seeking applications from qualified candidates to fill the following vacancies:
1. ADVERTISEMENT DIRECTOR (ABUJA):
The right candidate is expected to oversee the advert department, which includes supplements, business development division and online assets. He will create structure and processes that will guarantee the achievement of targets. He will also perform any other functions that may assigned by the company.
The candidate for this position must possess the following personal attributes: great marketing skills, Impressive interpersonal skills, ability to build and lead great teams, ability to achieve targets, excellent communication skills, high organizational ability and solid contacts.
A good first degree in any discipline. Eight years’ experience, two of which must have been in senior management position. Membership of the relevant professional bodies and residency in Abuja will be advantages.
2. SENIOR ADVERT MANAGERS (ABUJA AND LAGOS)
The candidate for this position must possess the following personal attributes: sound expertise in marketing and advert sales, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation skills, impressive leadership and organizational skills, self-driven and goal-getter; and ability to manage and supersive others.
Minimum of a good first degree in any discipline, experience from working in a media/sales company for at least 7 years.
3. ASSISTANT ADVERT MANAGERS (ABUJA AND LAGOS)
Similar requirements as that of Senior Advert Mangers
4. SENIOR ADVERT EXECUTIVES (ABUJA AND LAGOS)
Similar requirements as that of Senior Advert Mangers but with 3-5 years of experience in the industry.
5. BUSINESS EDITOR
The candidate for this position must possess the following personal attributes: flair for creative business reporting, deep understanding of the money/capital markets, good understanding of the international financial system, ability to tell the story with simple statistical tools and good networking ability. Others are forecasting and analytical skills, aptitude for critical thinking, ability to initiate and execute award-winning business stories and a team leader.
A good first degree in any discipline. Ten years experience on the business desk of a national daily newspaper, three of which must have been spent in a senior editorial position. An O’level credit pass in Mathematics is essential.
General
Candidates for the advert department must be ready to work with monthly target and should therefore have a wide network of contacts among corporate institutions and advertising agencies.
All candidates must possess of minimum first degree in any discipline and be computer literate. Must be fluent in English, self-driven, confident, have excellent written and oral communication skills and able to work in a highly dynamic environment. Ability to speak more than one Nigerian language will be an additional advantage.
