Five students of the Bayero University, Kano have bagged Doctorate degrees in Mass Communication from the institution.
The Head of the Department, Dr Haruna Ismail disclosed this in a statement.
Three of the PhD candidates were supervised by Professor. Abdallah Uba Adamu who is a dual Professor of Science Education and Media Studies and the Vice Chancellor National Open University of Nigeria.
Prof. Umaru A. Pate, the Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies, Bayero University, Kano, and also a staff of the Department and Professor Balarabe Maikaba also a member of staff in the department supervised one candidate each.
