JournalismAI Academy Announces 5-Week Training on AI for newsrooms [Deadline: 15 June]

The JournalismAI Academy is a FREE online programme that offers journalists and media professionals a deep dive into the potential of artificial intelligence.

The program is designed by the JournalismAI team at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and powered by the Google News Initiative. The 5-week programme will start in July 2025.

Sir Harry Evans Global Fellowship in Investigative Journalism [Deadline: June 18, 2025]

Early-career journalists can submit applications for the 2026 Sir Harry Evans Global Fellowship, a nine-month opportunity to pursue an investigative project with Reuters and Durham University. Fellowship includes monthly salary, living stipend and travel grant.

The application deadline is June 18.

CNN Academy Storytelling for Impact Program [Deadline: June 23, 2025]

CNN Academy is accepting applications from journalists in the Global South to tell stories in depth, context and impact. They demand storytellers who understand the cultural, political and systemic factors shaping health outcomes on the ground. The program is in two phases

Phase One: Virtual Training

The first phase of the program is delivered entirely online through the CNN Academy Hub.

Phase Two: In-Person Training and Simulation, November 2025, Abu Dhabi

Phase Two begins with hands-on training in Abu Dhabi, where participants will focus on mobile journalism techniques and storytelling practices, learning from CNN Academy’s expert trainers.
