Olanshile Ogunrinu, a 400-level student of Communication and Language Arts is the 37th president of the Union of Campus Journalists, University of Ibadan following the inauguration held on the 1st of March.
Olanshile, a 2024 joint winner of the Centre for Journalism and Innovation and Development (CJID)’s Alfred Opubor Next Gen Campus Reporter Awards in the Data reporting category, was formerly the Editor-in-Chief of the Association of Faculty of Arts Students Press Organization (AFAS Press).
Elected unopposed, he pulled a total of 80 votes with 3 void votes.
He will be assisted by Ogunleye Moboluwarin and Ayeye Toluwalope as the Vice-President (Admin) and Vice-President (Editorial) respectively.
Other members of the new administration are Faith Adediran as General Secretary; Ojo Victoria as Assistant General Secretary; Ayandare Ibrahim as PRO I; Siyanbola Victor as PRO II; Shodipe Blessing as Financial Secretary.
