DEADLINE: FRIDAY, APRIL 14

The Campus Reporter project of the Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development (CJID) will host a monthly Generations in Conversation series on Friday, 14 April.

The series will feature media veterans – Dapo Olorunyomi, Publisher of Premium Times and CEO of CJID; and Ruona Meyer, manager of the Africa Initiative project at the Solutions Journalism Network (SJN).

The rich conversation, titled ‘The Future of Journalism: Emerging Skills and Enduring Values’, seeks to discuss how journalism today is a melting pot of traditional journalism and new trends, and also new skills required to thrive in the profession.

Dataphyte Broadcast Media Fellowship

Dataphyte calls for pitches: “We are pleased to invite broadcast journalists in the southwest to submit pitches that focus on mainstreaming gender data into their coverage of socioeconomic and development themes.”

Fellows will receive support to do data-driven broadcast programming for their pitches.
