UCJ-UNILORIN elects new Press Council executives

The University of Ilorin chapter of the Union of Campus Journalists (UCJ) has elected its new Press council.

The election conducted by the UCJ-IEC headed by Isiaka Azeez on Friday, April 16 had in attendance the outgoing press council.

Adedimeji Quayyim, a 300 Level student of the Faculty of law emerged as the 25th President with a total of 44 votes against his opponent, Samuel Oluwatemileyin who garnered a total of 15 votes.

Other elected executive members are Miss Christiana Peter of Faculty as the Vice President, Administration; Miss Halimah Adisa of Faculty of Education, Vice President, Editorial; Lawal Victor of Faculty of Arts, Director General; and Miss Ibrahim Gbemisola of Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences Asst. Director-General.

The posts of the Director of Finance, Director of Operations, Director of Publicity and Director of Mobilization remain vacant.

The UCJ-IEC chairman congratulated the candidates and everyone who had participated in the electoral process.
