Internews’ Earth Journalism Network (EJN), with aid from the Kingfisher Foundation, is hosting a virtual media workshop on covering coastal solutions, financing and resilience.

The workshop will introduce journalists to major coastal resilience topics and link them with relevant experts and sources for their reporting.

The three-day workshop will be held from May 2 to 4.

DEADLINE: MARCH 17, 2023

Nigeria Health Watch is receiving applications for a Collaborative Solutions Journalism grant.

The solutions journalism grant is open to newsrooms, journalists, and freelancers who are in Solutions Journalism and can collaborate to pitch projects and stories.

The grant provides mini-grants of up to N1,000,000 to five successful submissions.

The team will publish a minimum of three-story series from their investigations, which may be audio, text, video or photo documentary formats.

The International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), in association with Code for Africa, is hosting a webinar series on the “Intersection of Misinformation and Religious Freedom Reporting.”

Webinar topics will comprise an overview of disinformation, Twitter and Facebook investigations, training on fact-checking and the intersection of religious freedom reporting and disinformation.

Dataphyte seeks pitches from broadcast journalists for its Gender mainstreaming fellowship.

The fellowship is open to journalists in the states in South West.

Fellows will receive support to carry out data-driven broadcast programmes.

The Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development (CJID) seeks applications from campus journalists across Nigeria for a 6-week virtual capacity-building training on Data Journalism and Infographics.

Applicants must be part of the Campus Reporter network with at least 10 months of writing and a minimum of two stories on the Campus Reporter website.

Selected campus journalists will receive data support.

The Harold W. McGraw, Jr. Center for Business Journalism supports journalists to produce investigative stories that delve into critical economic, financial or business issues.

Business journalists can apply for grants of up to $15,000 at the McGraw Fellowship for Business Journalism.

Freelance and staff business journalists with five years of experience in print and broadcast media can apply.
