The Governing Council of the Lagos State University, Ojo (LASU) has confirmed the promotion of Dr Jide Jimoh of the institution’s School of Communication, as Professor of Journalism.
Jimoh announced his promotion in a Facebook post on Thursday evening, stating, “It’s now official!”
” What can I say unto the Lord? All I want to say is thank you, Lord,” he added.
The new professor holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos and a Masters’s and Doctorate in Media and Conflict Studies from the University of Ibadan.
He was a former correspondent with TSM Magazine before commencing his academic career.
