The News Editor of the News Digest Press and 300-level student of Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto, Abdulwaheed Sofiullahi, has won the Best Writer award on Nigeria Campuses in the 4th Edition of the Nigeria Campus Awards 2021.
The Nigeria Campus Awards which recognises excellent students in various categories received over 1,000 nominations including Best Artiste of the Year, Most Influential Student, Campus Blogger of the Year, Campus Sport Man/Woman, and Best Writer on Campus.
The award event shall hold in Ogun state.
Abdulwaheed Sofiullahi who competed against 10 other candidates for the category he won, in an interview said he appreciated the honour to bag the national award and dedicated it to his instructors, who he described as his “guardian angels” along his writing journey.
“Taoheed Adegbite, Muhydeen Kolawale, and Bashir Kola Turawa are the recipients of this prize. These fantastic bosses are the real winners, ‘’ he stated.
Abdulwasiu Olokooba , Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the News Digest Press was also recently selected for Tell! African Fellowship,2021.
