Winners have emerged for the 2020 Nigeria Media Merit Award (NMMA) at the ceremony held on Friday night in Lagos.

With 895 entries assessed,  The Nation with a total of 14 awards had 38 nominations in various categories. New Telegraph, 22 nominations, The Guardian had 17, PUNCH 14, Vanguard eight and The Sun two nominations.

The Guardian Newspapers won five of the awards.

The Nation Newspaper won the Newspaper of the Year Award, Television Continental (TVC), Television Station of the Year and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRC), Radio Station of the Year.
