The WiJ2017 award is set to hold tomorrow, July 6 with the theme “Pioneers, Innovators and the Brave New World.”

Innovation is the ‘new bride’ in journalism and the year’s edition of WiJ, according to the Conference Director, Yomi Owope, will highlight industry players who are leading innovation in journalism and the media. An associate professor of journalism and media at Rhodes University, South Africa, Anthea Garman is one of the lead speakers at the programme and he will provide the right background from the future of journalism education.
