British Broadcasting Corporation Media Action – an international development charity of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), working in over 25 countries across the world is looking for interested, motivated and dynamic Researchers with strong quantitative research skills, and an understanding of how research inform program.
The Abuja based position is to assist the Head of Research and Learning, working closely with Senior Research Officers and other senior staff members in the effective, timely and efficient implementation of qualitative research for BBC Media Action’s project in the country.
The researchers will undertake the conduct of research sampling, preparation of discussion guide, and design of questionnaire and other duties that may be assigned.
Other jobs requirements are to assist in the effective design, co-ordination and delivery of research for all mass media campaigns across a range of different thematic areas, comprising of formative research that involve literature review and focus group discussions), process research that include pre-testing of outputs) and impact evaluation.
Interest applicants should have strong qualitative research question skills of research design, literature reviews, moderating and analysis interpretation of data.
Other competencies include moderate quantitative research skills in sampling and survey design, data management and analysis using SPSS, questionnaire design; Good communication skills, and ability to clearly communicate the findings of research and what these insights mean for the user of data; Knowledge of writing precise and clear report and briefing documents; and good IT skills, including MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
The job position that is N250, 000.00 gross per month requires people that have commitment to excellence, ability to work in a team of multicultural environment, result oriented, and ability to speak Hausa will be an added advantage.
