A new Civil Society Organisation (CSO) dedicated to the twin issues of journalism and development, with office in Jabi, Abuja, requires for immediate employment, a Programmes Officer.
Number of positions: 1
Responsibilities
• Develops and implements the programmes of JADESeminars. These include but not limited to:
 Initiating programme ideas and writing proposals
 Resource mobilization and funding for projects
 Implementing programmes of the Organisation
 Writing reports upon completion of projects
 Following up on existing/on-going projects of the Organisation
 Representing the organisation at events upon request
 Strong writing and presentation skills
 Any other tasks as may be assigned
• Core competencies
 Good understanding of the goals of JADESeminars
 Excellent communication abilities
 Fluency in written/spoken English
 Understanding of programme and financial management
 Ability to work in a team and independently when the need arises
 Competence in MS-Word, Excel, Spreadsheet
 Social media competency
• Qualifications
 A good First degree in any field; a master’s degree is an advantage
• Experience
 1-3 years
 Journalistic background is an advantage
