Vacancy: Media Manager for International NGO

Search for Common Ground (SFCG), an international non-profit organisation that promotes peaceful resolution of conflict requires the services of a Media manager for its project in Nigeria.

The Port Harcourt, Rivers State based position is for  SFCG 24-month project which is tag “Tomorrow is a New Day, Phase II: Building a Peace Architecture in the Niger Delta for 2015 and beyond”.

Salary is commensurate with education and experience, with excellent benefits.

MINIMUM QUALIFCATIONS FOR THE POSITION

The Position Holder will possess:

• A minimum of five (5) years of work experience in design and implementation of media  programmes;

• At least two (2) years of  technical experience in creating and hosting radio programmes;

• A Master’s degree in a related field;

• The demonstrated technical capacity to provide support and guidance to project staff on design  and implementation of community radios and media programmes;

• The demonstrated ability to successfully facilitate using participatory methods;

• High standards of integrity, professionalism, and impartiality;

•The ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment;

• A proven track record of being proactive;

• The ability to multi-task and work to meet tight deadlines;

• Proficient in use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, e-studio as well as web browsers;

•Fluency in English, both verbally and in writing; and

The ability to travel extensively in the Niger Delta.
