A Senior Correspondent of TVC News, Sumner Shagari has announced his exit from the broadcast company after six years of service.
” I gracefully bowed out of TVC News today. I thank its management, staff and viewers for their faith in me while working there,” Shagari stated in a facebook post on July 6.
He declined to name which organization he was moving to but stated that “I’m taking up a higher responsibility elsewhere, but within the industry.”
In another post, Shagari stated: HARD TO SAY GOODBYE: Special thanks to my Bureau Chief, Taiwo Amodu and all colleagues at the Abuja Bureau office of TVC News who spared time to honour me today as I exited the company.

A graduate of Mass Communication from Ahamadu Bello University, Shagari was a former Stringer/ Reporter at Reuters.
Shagari, fellow of International Centre for Journalists, Winner, Nigeria Investigative Journalist of the Year, TV in the 2016 edition of the Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalists Award was also a former Senior Correspondnet of the defunct NN24.
