Thugs attack Galaxy TV journalists

A correspondent of Galaxy TV, Judith Irenoa was on Wednesday, October 21, attacked by thugs along with her colleagues in Lagos.
Irenoa said they were attacked by the thugs near the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, office on the Lagos/Ibadan expressway.
“We were four in the bus with the driver. We all had separate experience. I saw they carried the guy who was in the front seat out of the bus. His phone was collected. They opened the booth of the bus and entered from there. Then they later opened the bus and ordered me and others down.
“I had my phone in my hands and was trying to explain to them we were not against them as journalists. We were for them.
” It was a terrible experience as the thugs had acid and petrol in small plastic bottles, our bus was almost burnt we begged for our lives.”
“I spoke in Yoruba. I said Bros, we are for you. We are not against you. I just kept begging and begging.
“One of them now said look at you, fine girl, shei you no sey abroad go fit you. I just replied it will fit all of us. We all deserve a good life
“After they gave our driver the key to the bus, and gave one of us who they already stole his phone back.”
