SIWES media interns urged to maximise the opportunity

The immediate past President of Press Club Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, Hassan Abdulsalam, has visited some members of the club on three months Compulsory Students Industrial Work Experience (SIWES) to remind them of the importance of training.
He visited the Merci Multimedia Concept Centre, Abeokuta, Ogun State and charged them to maximize all opportunities that the training will offer.
Abdulasalam noted that SIWES is an opportunity for them to become better and start to make an impact in society.
According to him, “This is a planned and structured scheme with specific objectives geared towards developing yourself and preparing you for post-graduation journalism world.”

“Use your SIWES to reinforce your commitment to become competent in the media world so that you can make an impact in society.
“Don’t forget as well that this will give your CV massive value as It will add more skills to you and don’t forget to network with professionals to sharpen your career,” he advised.
He added that they should take their logbooks completion as a serious task and complete all necessary documentation.
He rewarded her members with an airtime giveaway.
Executive Director of Media Career Development Network, Mr Lekan Otufodunrin commended the visit saying it was thoughtful of Abdulsalam.
