New appointments in the editorial and marketing departments of The AUTHORITY newspapers has been approved by the Chairman / Publisher of newspapers, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah.
In the editorial changes which take immediate effect, Mr. Joe Nwankwo, the pioneer Executive Director of Publications, has been re-designated as the Executive Director in charge of the South East zone, while Mr. Chuks Akunna, the Executive Director, Business Development, has been re-designated the Executive Director in charge of the South-South zone. The Chairman will appoint an Executive Director for the Lagos / South West zone shortly
Mr. Felix Abugu, the former Editor of the South East and South-South bureau moves over to Abuja to assume duties as the General Editor of the newspapers.
Abugu, former Acting Editor, Saturday Guardian will support the Editors and the Deputy Editors in streamlining the editorial functions of the newspaper to achieve optimal results.
Mr. Odogwu Emeka Odogwu, a pioneer staff of the South East / South-South bureau takes over from Abugu as the acting Editor of the South East bureau, while Mr Dele Fanimo, former Group Business Editor, has been promoted to the Editor, South West.
In the marketing department, Mrs Nkechinyere Manuba was appointed the General Manager, Corporate Marketing., Mr. Sam Nwanze, Head, Special Projects and Mr. Hensley Osigwe, Business Manager.
The changes according to the company are aimed at strengthening the key functions of the newspaper which hit the newsstands on October 1, 2015.
