Anthony Osae-Brown has resigned as the Editor of Business Day Newspaper.
His resignation is dated December 31, 2018 and will be replaced by Patrick Atuanya who is currently News Editor of the paper.
Osae-Brown who was appointed Editor in October 2016 from United Bank for Africa (UBA) announced his exit in a tweet on his handle @osaeB on Tuesday.
“It has been a privilege editing Nigeria’s most authoritative business paper. Leaving the paper in great hands and an excellent team.
“So hard to say goodbye but tomorrow beckons with new challenges and promise,” he wrote.
Atunya who according to a statement by the management resumes on January 1, 2019 joined the paper in 2012 as Analyst and rose to the position of Chief Economist.
He holds a B.Sc in Economics and an MBA with concentration in Finance.
Although he did not disclose his next move, Media Career learnt that Osae-Brown may join Bloomberg News as Nigeria Bureau Chief.
Bloomberg News a top global financial and business news organizations early this year invited applications for the post of Nigeria Bureau Chief.
