Former General Manager, LagosTV/ Radio Lagos and Eko FM, Mr Lekan Ogunbanwo has been appointed as the new Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of PlusTV Africa.
His appointment was announced in a statement by the Chairman of General News and Entertainment Media Group, owners of the station, Mr Lateef Fagbemi, Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).
Ogunbanwo who also served as Permanent Secretary in the Lagos State Government before his retirement has over 43 years experience in the broadcast industry.
He is a graduate of English from the Lagos State University.

In his congratulatory announcement, Fagbemi said the company was delighted to welcome Mr Ogunbanwo to the helms of affairs of the station with the assurance that his experience will help position and enhance creative and premium content delivery.
Ogunbanwo in his acceptance remarks said he was prepared to upskill the station and “ensure that we have a pride that is the chance of Nigeria and by extension Africans.”
Ogunbanwo replaces Kayode Akintemi who set up the station in 2016 after leaving Channels TV where he was General Manager.
His exit from PlusTV Africa was said to have followed a disagreement with the investors in the company.
PlusTV Africa is a Nigerian 24-Hour news channel broadcasts across Africa formally via StarTimes dish platform and now on DSTV Channel 408.
The TV station is said to air in over 30 countries with more than 12 million viewers across the African countries.
