Ogbodo named editor of The Guardian

Management of Guardian Newspapers Limited has announced the appointment of former Editor, Sunday of the paper, Abraham Ogbodo as the editor of all titles in the company.
Jewell Dafinone who has been acting as editor of the daily paper for about six months, some senior editorial staff and others we reportedly handed their letters of disengagement from the company on Tuesday.
The former Managing Director of the company, Mr Emeka Izeze recently issued a statement that he resigned his appointment and was not sacked along with some top executives as widely reported.
With over 31 journalists said to have been affected by the on-going reorganization in the company, the fate of many others remains uncertain.
It is not clear what role the former Editor-in-Chief of the paper, Dabo Adesina will be in the changes which the company said is aimed at repositioning the media outfit for greater efficiency.
Others appointed along with Ogbodo were Godwin Okosun as Executive Head of Printing; Jude Ndu as Chief Commercial Officer and Solomon Alonge as Chief Financial Officer.
Ogbodo started his media career as a Sub-Editor, African Guardian Magazine in February 1989 and rose to position of Editor of The Guardian on Sunday.
