President Goodluck Jonathan has appointed new heads for government owned media houses, including, News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) and the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) .
Ima Niboro, former spokesman to President Jonathan was appointed the Managing Director of NAN, Sola Omole becomes the new Director-General of the NTA and Ladan Salihu takes over as Director-General of FRCN.
Niboro an award-winning journalist was a former staff of Tell Magazine.
Sola Omole, a first class graduate of Communication Arts, University of Ibadan started off his career as a radio announcer at the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation now Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria between 1974 and 1976.
He later worked with NTA, where he rose from being a reporter, to Editor and then to Television news anchor before moving to Chevron Nigeria.
He was General Manager, Government and Public Affairs in 1995 of Chevron.
Salihu until his recent appointment was the Zonal Director of Kaduna National Station of FRCN.
