Former Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lia Mohammed has been re-appointed by President Muhammdu Buhari.
He was sworn-in along with 42 other Ministers and Ministers of State in Abuja on Wednesday, August 21.
A journalist and former Executive Commissioner, Stakeholder Management, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Sunday Dare was also named as Minister of Youths and Sports.
Muhammed who was also the former spokesman of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) was co-founder the legal firm of Edu & Mohammed as a Senior Partner in 1989.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in French from Obafemi Awolowo University, in the year 1975 and proceeded to obtain a Law degree from the University of Lagos, and then Nigerian Law School in 1986 as a practising Lawyer.
Mohammed is also a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and worked as Public Relations Officer for almost 10 years with the Nigerian Airport Authority, now Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN)
The new Minister of Youths has worked in diverse aspects of the media, including broadcasting (TV and radio), journalism (electronic and print), and decades of multimedia journalism experience spanning over 25 years.
