A two-day capacity building media workshop for political reporters/correspondents in the FCT Abuja axis, North West and North Central zones of the country has been held in  Abuja on Wednesday, October 17 and Thursday October 18, 2018.

It also provided analytical and graphic information that audiences can easily relay to, especially when it comes to making informed electoral decisions.

The training also built the capacity of participants on skills and knowledge needed for data and digital reporting of salient issues of the electoral process.

Resources persons that facilitated the workshop included Dr. Ruqqayah Aliyu of the Department of Information and Media Studies, Bayero University Kano, Mr. Taiwo Obe, Founder, Journalism Clinic and Mr. Eze Onyekpere, Director, Centre for Social Justice (CSJ), Abuja.

Oba Olasunkanmi John The training was revealing. We need more of this trainings. Especially Taiwo Obe’s handling of the technological aspects of the training was mind opening. These are great opportunities in our android phones that we ignored or never know about. Definitely I will put all I learnt into practice, just that I need more of TO’s knowledge.
