Grace Atukpa who is visually impaired graduated with Higher National Distinction (HND) Distinction in Journalism from the Nigerian Institute of Journalism, NIJ, Ogba, Lagos.
The daughter of a former crime reporter, Cecilia Akpa who died over ten years ago, served with National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP).
Dr Mrs Grace Achum, a journalist and publisher of Business Plus Magazine, Lagos, has been taking care of Grace despite the various challenges she has had to contend with.
Grace who specialized in print journalism had hoped that she would be retained at NAPTIP, but her hope was dashed was not.
She told our reporter that one of her major needs now is a job anywhere in the country. She would like to work in any government parastatals, ministries of agencies, especially at the public relations of enlightenment unit.
She is also interested in working with any NGO or humanitarian organisation.
” I have laptops, with specific software called Job Access with Speed, JAW and phone with a voice-over feature to do my job, anywhere and at any time. I wish above all things to see again.”
