A new national newspaper, The Union has hit the newsstands in the country.
Presently published weekly on Sundays, The newspaper provides readers with news and features ranging from politics, business, crime, brands and campaign, ICT, worship, heritage and sports.
Six gloss colour inserts on Motoring, Nollywood, Agribusiness, Energy Today and Sports are also included in paper which sells for N200. Four editions have so far been circulated.
The vision of The Union newspaper is: “to be the symbol of excellent journalism in Nigeria.”
The Union is a publication of Today’s Publishing Company Limited and has Obed Awowede, formerly of Tell and Insider Magazines as Editor.
The Publisher/CEO of the newspaper is Emma Agu, former Editor and Managing Director of Champion Newspapers.
Other top staff includes Obi Azuru, former Arts Director of This Day Newspaper as Managing Director/COO, Executive Director and Chairman, Editorial Board, Emmanuel Onyejena, General Editor: Bala Dan Abu, OP-ED Editor: Uzor Maxim Uzoatu, Politics Editor: Amos Esele, Business Editor:Sam Diala and Abuja Bureau Chief as Simon Reef Musa.
The newspaper’s mission is to set agenda for national renaissance, good governance and socio-economic prosperity of an indivisible Nigeria.
