Four Nigerian Journalists win continental awards

Four Nigerian journalists have emerged winners at the Zimeo Excellence in Media 2016 edition award held in Kenya last week.

 

The awards was organised by the African Media Initiative.

 

The Nigerian Journalists who won in various categories are:

 

 

Hannah Ojo of The Nation, Animal Resources and Fish category.

 

Dayo Oketola of The Punch, Energy and Infrastructure.

 

Eromo Egbejule of Ventures Africa, Business and Finance.

 

Fisayo Soyombo of TheCable, Maritime Economy category.

 

 

Other African journalists who also won awards at the ceremony are:

 

Verah Okeyo from Kenya, The Youth Agenda category;

 

Noura Dhine Salouko, Burkina Faso, got SDGs Reporting;

 

Jay Caboz, South Africa, Science and Technology;

 

Horacio Romao, Mozambique, Media and Digital Journalism;

 

Katya Aragoa, Sao Tome and Principe, Peace and Security;

 

Bayala Ebou Mireille, Burkina Faso, Health

 

Thophilus Chuma, Zimbabwe, Gender and Women’s Rights category,

 

Kaomi Elom Domegni of Togo, won Extractive Industries award,

 

Henvido Chantre Neves of Cape Verde, Education;

 

Sam Wend Tin, Burkina, Conservation and Climate Change;

 

Martin Alfred Nyoni of Tanzania, Agriculture and Food Security

 

Mary Jean of Botswana, African Union Agenda 2063
