The Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism (WSCIJ) has announced openings for Programmes, Communications and Storytelling roles in the organisation.

The vacant positions include Associate Director (Programmes), Programme Manager, Programme Officer, Communication Manager, Digital Storytelling and Multimedia Officer, Digital Storytelling and Multimedia Officer and Innovation and Sustainability Associate.

1. Associate Director – Programmes [Deadline: 18 June 2025]

Visionary leader with a passion for investigative journalism, governance advocacy, and programmatic excellence with the ability to hold high-level stakeholder engagement, strategic programme oversight, and impact-driven execution is needed at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Investigative Journalism (WSCIJ) for the role of Associate Director, Programs. Key responsibilities include providing strategic leadership, policy influence, strategic communications oversight and cross-departmental program integration.

 

Criteria: The Ideal candidate should have:

• Master’s degree
• 12+ years of leadership excellence in programme management, governance advocacy, civil society, democracy, or journalism

• 3+ years of experience in partnership coordination, nonprofit sustainability, research execution, or fundraising strategy development
