Five editors exit as New Telegraph, Sun downsizes

Five senior staff of New Telegraph and Sun Newspapers have lost their jobs in on going efforts by management of the publication to cut cost of operation.
In New Telegraph, three Managing Editors got letters of disengagement from the company last week.
The editors included Yemi Ajayi, Managing Editor, Business and Strategy, Emeka Madunagu, Managing Editor, South and Emeka Obasi, Managing Editor, Publication and Operations.
It was learnt that New Telegraph has been battling to meet its operational cost.
In Sun Newspaper, the senior staff who have been forced to exit their jobs include Bruce Malogo, former Saturday Editor, Kunle Solaja, General Manager, Special Publications.
Femi Babafemi is the new Saturday Editor, while Ikenna Emewu was named Editor, Online.
There are indications that more staff of the newspapers owned by former Abia State governor,Orji Kalu may still be laid off as the companies battles to adopt more cost cutting measures.
