Editorial changes at The Punch

New editorial appointments and redeployment, involving some top staff have been made at The Punch Newspaper.

An internal memo by the Editor, The Punch, Ademola Oni on October 13 said the appointments which take immediate effect were approved by the Managing Director/ Editor-In-Chief, Mr Ademola Osinubi.

Details of the appointments are as follows:

Olalekan Adetayo, Assistant Editor, Abuja Bureau appointed Assistant Editor, General News Division (GND).

Tunji Abioye, Head News and Politics, Weekend Titles appointed Assistant Editor, Business

Eniola Akinkuotu, Head, Breaking, Trending Investigation Division (BTID) appointed Acting Head, Abuja Bureau

Tessy Iguomu, Chief Correspondent, Helathwise appointed Head, Investigations

Sola Babarinsa, News and Politics, Weekend Titles redeployed to Viewpoint and Operations

Akinpelu Dada, Assistant Editor, Metro, redeployed as Head Copy Desk

It was learnt that some of the senior staff displaced from their former positions by the changes have till December this year to exit the company.

The editorial changes caught the staff unawares, but they wished the new appointees well in their new assignments.
