The Diamond Awards for Media Excellence (DAME) has invited entries from journalists and media houses for the 25th edition of the awards.
In a statement by the organisers of the award called for entries in 31 categories for journalists in print, online and electronic media.
The categories are: Action Photography, Agriculture Reporting, Best Designed Newspaper, Best Designed Magazine, Business Reporting, Child-friendly Reporting, Child-friendly Media, Conflict-sensitive Reporting, Development Reporting, Editorial Cartooning, Editorial Integrity, Energy Reporting, and Health Reporting, Telecoms Reporting, Editor of the Year, and Newspaper of the Year.
Other categories are Informed Commentary, Insurance Reporting, and Investigative Reporter of the Year; Judicial Reporting, Migration Reporting, Political Reporting and Sports Reporting. For the electronic media entries are welcome in Radio Drama, Radio Reporting, Radio Presenting, Radio Station of the Year, Television Drama, Television Documentary, Television Reporting, and Television Station of the Year.
Since 1992 when DAME commenced, 475 individuals and institutions have been recognized for outstanding works in the field of mass communication.
The deadline for entries covering works in the 2015 calendar year is September 19, 2016. All entry materials should be marked 25th DAME and submitted in triplicate to:
