CNN’s Aisha Salaudeen wins The Future Awards Africa Prize for Journalism

Aisha Salaudeen Journalist and multi-platform producer with CNN International has emerged the winner of The Future Awards Africa Prize for Journalism for 2020.

She was announced as the winner of the award along with 19 others for other categories on Saturday, 28 November at the first-ever TV and digital edition of the competition.

The Journalism Award is given to a writer, reporter, presenter, producer, and other professionals who have demonstrated excellence in the storytelling and bringing news to the public.

Reacting to winning the award Aisha tweeted: “I’m thrilled because this is my first-ever award. And I’m glad that people find my work meaningful and impactful Pleading face.”

Aisha was a freelance journalist for Financial Times, Al Jazeera, Okay Africa and TRT World, and has also worked at Stears Business.

The Future Festival 2020 is organized by RED | For Africa, in partnership with Y! Africa.

The Awards is a set of prizes given annually to celebrate and accelerate innovation, creativity and enterprise amongst young Africans aged 18 – 31
