Applications are invited from interested young journalists to participate in the two-day inaugural Basic to Media Career Development Course organized by Media Career Services, (MCS), Lagos.
The training scheduled that will hold in the first week of May, 2014 is part of activities to mark the 50th birthday of founder of MCS, Lekan Otufodunrin, Managing Editor, Online, The Nation on May 9.
Applicants should preferably be a new employee of a media organization or with not more than two years experience in the industry.
Topics to be address during the course include Understanding the Nigerian and International media terrain, Media Ethics, Principles of work and professionalism, Media Career prospects, Newsroom Scenarios, Media Career profiles and Purpose Driven journalism.
The course which free, is part of the three levels Media Career Development training initiated by MCS, a training, research and consultancy organization to help journalists maximise media career opportunities.
