Azzez Olakunle Yinus of New Telegraph has been adjudged as the Most Outstanding ICT Editor of the Year 2017 at this year’s edition of the African Digital Awards (ADA) .
ADA is a Pan-African awards that recognises outstanding contributions to the development of ICT industry.
Azzez won the award based on a report of an independent panel of jury after a thorough assessment of quality and depth of ICT reportage by ICT Editors across newspapers.
Azzez dedicated the award to his family and to the entire management of New Telegraph Newspaper for providing him the platform to contribute his quota to the development of the ICT ecosystem in Nigeria.
” I am humbled by this recognition and consider it a call to do more and most especially, I thank the organisers of the annual African Digital Awards for considering me worthy of this honour,” Azzez said in a facebook post on the award.
Other awardees at the event included NCC, MTN Nigeria, NigComSat, former ATCON President, Dr. Emmanuel Ekuwem; Abimbola Alale, CEO of NigComSat and her company and Funke Opeke of MainOne.
