All set for Africa Investigative Journalism conference

All is set for the opening of the annual Africa Investigative Journalism Conference (AIJC) on Tuesday, October 6 which will hold virtual till October 30.

The conference organized by the Journalism Department of the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa will feature 25+ sessions of various topics, new tools and techniques, networking and masterclasses.

Keynote speakers at the opening ceremony are two African investigative journalists, Anas Anas Investigative Journalist, Eagle Eye Pl and Jacques Pauw, Author and Journalist, Self-employed who will speak on their recent works.

The conference which first held in 2013 according to the organisers is Africa’s biggest annual gathering of working journalists which offers an opportunity to share great African work, learn new skills, hear how it is done and share experiences.

One hundred fellowships were awarded to journalists to participate in the conference. They will be allowed entry to all events and given data allocation.
