Ajanaku named Lagos Special Adviser on Information

Idowu Ajanaku

A multiple award-winning journalist and political strategist, Idowu Ajanaku has been appointed as the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy by the  Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwumi Ambode.

In a letter signed by the Head of the State Service, Mrs. Folasade Sidikatu Adesoye, the appointment is in line with Governor Ambode’s vision to strengthen the information machinery in the State with the aim of making it more people-oriented and effective, right to the grass-root.

Until his elevation, Ajanaku was the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Strategy.

He is expected to use his wealth of experience to promote Ambode’s administration having worked with the Vanguard and the Guardian Newspapers for over one and half decades.

Ajanaku holds a Bachelor’s degree in History and International Studies from the Lagos State University (LASU) and a Masters degree in History and Strategic Studies from the prestigious University of Lagos (UNILAG). He is also a fellow of Martin Luther King Center for Leadership.
