Four Nigerian journalists have been nominated in different categories of the 9th Pan-African Re/Insurance Journalism Awards celebrating talent in African journalism covering the re/insurance industry.
Nike Popoola of The Punch Newspaper, Destiny Onyemihia of Voice of Nigeria, Afeez Hanafi of Daily Trust and G.U Chukwu of Daily Review Online were nominated in the English broadcast, print and online categories of the continental award.
They were among the nominees selected from a diverse range of media houses and publications across Africa showcasing the
breadth and depth of talent in African journalism covering the re/insurance industry
While Nike Popoola of Punch Newspaper was nominated in print and online categories, Destiny Onyemihia of Voice of Nigeria was nominated for Broadcast Category, the duo of Afeez Hanafi of Daily Trust and G.U Chukwu of Daily Review Online were in the online category nominee list.
Winners will be announced during an award ceremony which according to the organizers is scheduled to coincide with the Continental Re 9th CEO Summit, on 12 April 2024 in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.
