The Board of Punch Newspapers have announced the appointments of two new editors and deputies for its titles.

In the announcement made on Friday, June 21, the Business Editor of The PUNCH, Oyetunji Abioye, was appointed the new editor of The PUNCH, in acting capacity from Monday, July 22 to replace the current editor. Adedayo Oketola.

Samson Folarin, the Features Editor of the paper’s Weekend Titles (Saturday PUNCH & Sunday PUNCH) will also replace Sola Fabiyi as acting Editor, Weekend Titles.

The current Online Editor, Olalekan Adetayo, has been redesignated the Editor, PUNCH Digital, the restructured digital operations unit that incorporates all of PUNCH’s digital publications.

The Editor, PUNCH SportsExtra, ‘Tana Aiyejina, was also named as the successor of Olaniyi Odebode, the Deputy Editor, The PUNCH, in acting capacity.

Tessy Igomu, Healthwise’s current Editor, is to take over from Yusuff Moshood as the Deputy Editor, Weekend Titles, in acting capacity. Moshood has been redeployed to PUNCH Digital as the Deputy Editor.

The company explained that the appointments were part of a recent restructuring exercise across the company’s divisions.

Oketola, Fabiyi and Odebode who were not redeployed in the re-organisation will end their stay in the company on July 14.
