Vacancy: Social Media Communication Officer

University graduates of Mass Communication, Journalism, Social Science or related subjects with two years practical experience in relevant field have the opportunity of applying for the position of Social Media Communications Officer at an Enugu based organization.

The employment is for a two-year pilot project aimed to set-up and run an online platform to obtain assistance for eligible people with disabilities to get orthotic and prosthetic aids that are presently beyond their means.

Successful applicant will support the technical and organization Manager in setting up the project, develop MoUs and guideline for the online communications, work in a to development a web based communication platform, ensure regular update for the blog and web shop, document data of eligible persons and follow-up of selected beneficiary after they receive support.

Other responsibilities include developing a data of eligible persons, appraise and assist in documentation and communication of key findings or lesson learnt and other tasks related to successful setting up of the project.

Interested candidates should have excellent command of English, Igbo and Pingin English, experience in the use of various social media channels, have up to date knowledge of all types of electronic devises required for the execution of work, have receptive and considerate to the social, economic and physical needs of people living with disabilities and must be self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently.
Applicants should know that position requires extensive travelling for field-work also on short notice. Female candidates and people living with disability should apply.
