PROGRAMME ANALYST (DOCUMENTATION)
A Lagos-based organisation, InSiGHt Health Consulting Ltd (IHC) requires the services of a Programme Analyst 1 (Documentation).
Qualified candidate will work under the supervision of a Principal Consultant and expected to perform the following functions:
*Review draft reports (and presentations) after all the ‘technical’ content has been collated and developed into a draft report:
*Review reports for structure, flow and arrangement of information: This is to ensure that our information is presented in the most logical manner and in a way that is reader-friendly. This will involve making suggestions for re-arrangement and presentation style to improve the report.
*Edit and review the grammar of reports: This is to ensure sentences are clear, well-structured and with good grammar. As far as possible, we keep our writing style simple to appeal to the wide range of clients and stakeholders that require the information.
*Ensure appropriate references and uniform referencing style.
*Proof-read documents to ensure consistent and uniform data presented
*Ensure uniform and appropriate font, size, headings, labels, etc.
*Support proposal development in response to various RFPs
*Other documentation support including: the review/development of newsletter content, website content and other support related to IHC’s documentation needs.
*Represent InSiGHt Health as required
*Remain informed on current issues and best practices in health in Nigeria and the region
*Monitor trends in the health sector
*Perform any other duties as assigned, related to documentation.
A prospective candidate must possess the following qualifications:
- A relevant first degree in any of the Health Sciences, Sociology, Health Communication, Mass Communication or Journalism will be preferred
- 1-3 years previous experience (cumulative) in producing articles, reports and other project documentation
- Experience in health reporting/writing a plus
- Experience working in a health organization a plus
Asides the required qualifications, the prospective candidate must possess:
- Excellent writing and reporting skills
- Demonstrable ability to produce quality reports
- Ability to think analytically and to problem-solve
- Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively
- Strong computing skills
- Ability to adapt to clients’ needs
- Ability to work well with others including clients, beneficiaries and potential partners
