African Women in Media (AWiM) needs consultants to develop training packages for women journalists covering Labour Migration in Africa.
The consultant will among other tasks design and develop an online course package on a relevant journalism topic for which the consultant is expert and produce engaging materials including, but not limited to short videos and quizzes.
He or she will also roduce promotional videos and commentaries for the course, be available to edit AWiM newsletter(s) relating to the project and live webinars if required.
Qualifications/Special Skills
Essential:
- Journalism experience and demonstrated expertise in the proposed topic(s) of your training package;
- Ability to record and edit online learning material, including but not limited to videos;
- Full proficiency in MS Office programs: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other tools needed for effective delivery of online training;
- Enthusiastic about delivery and the development of others;
- The ability to work autonomously and as a team;
- Ability to work independently on projects;
- Strong English communication skills (both written and verbal);
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
