Television Continental, a pan-African Channel has won the station of the year at the Nigerian Broadcasting Merit Award held recently in Abuja.
The station was also chosen as most Watched TV Channel of the year.
The Nigeria’s 24-hour channel swept most of the major awards at the event which include; TV Channel with the best news coverage in Nigeria and Africa and the Viewers’ Choice for the Best TV Community Access programme.
TVC News Anchor, Azeezat Olaoluwa emerged as Best Female Anchor, Dapo Aruwajoye won Nigeria’s Broadcaster of the year and Olayemi Ogunwole {a.k.a Honeypot} won the outstanding Female TV presenter.
Godwin Nwachukwu won the Cameraman of the year, while Oladimeji Solomon emerged as the Best Visual Editor.
Radio Continental 102.3 FM won the Best Radio Station.
