RIP to the 🐐

Larry King was such a kind man with genuine respect and curiosity for everyone he met. One of my favorite memories was when he called me “a different kind of person” in our first interview. I’m going to miss hanging out with him.

Larry King is a massive inspiration to absolutely every broadcaster. I always loved his inquisitive and conversational style of interviewing 🎙 Rest In Peace Mr King 👑 https://t.co/eHOC1ykxTg@ChrisVanVliet

“I don’t pretend to know it all,” Larry King in an interview with Associated Press in 1995 #LarryKing.@mediacareerngr

“I never learned anything while I was talking.”

One thing that stood Larry King out, besides his great interviewing skills, was his deep and genuine interest in people, and it showed. The intense, friendly gaze at his subjects and the well known short questions. For #LarrryKing, the show was about the guest and not the host. From Larry we learnt the fine art of interviewing (with the trademark suspenders to boot, 🙂 ), but also the need to put a soul into the work. Great journalism exudes great humanity, its ultimate end aimed at the common good. From tributes from colleagues, this was a sweet and unforgettable soul, and his personality reflected on his work.
Without the humane touch, it’s all noise. In the end, it should be all about HUMANITY.
