THISDAY’s Akingbolu wins SERA’s CSR award

THISDAY’s Raheem Akingbolu has won the Tunmise Adekunle Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Reporting Category of Social Enterprise Reporting Award (SERA)-CSR AFRICA of year 2016.

Gbenga Salau of the The Guardian was the first runner-up while Adedeji Ademigbuji of The Nation, was second runner-up in the Category.

A total of twenty-six awards were won by corporate organisations and individuals in recognition of their sustainable development and social investment efforts in Africa, including the President of Botswana, Ian Khama.

The SERA–CSR Awards is an annual event to celebrate organisations investing resources in the improvement of lives of stakeholders and through their social performance and investment programmes contributing to the development of Africa.

The media category was dedicated to the late Tunmise who was a brand journalist at ThisDay.
