In response to the limited placement opportunities for student journalists to undergo mandatory internship to enhance their practical knowledge of various skills, Media Career Development Network www.mediacareerng.org Nigeria’s foremost media career mentoring and coaching organisation is launching a remote internship training programme.
Selected interns who will be chosen based on our screening process will gain hands experience through a mix of interactive teaching, practical experience, coaching, mentoring and exposure in the media industry.
Participants will have access to a team of experienced journalists and managers who will guide and monitor their performance during the duration of their participation in assessment reports.
Areas of coverage in the internship will include:
1. General orientation about the industry.
2. Newsroom/Digital operations.
3. Reporting and writing on various beats.
4. Coverage and production of content.
5. Project and resource development
